Thinking of selling? Create Wow Factors that affect sales price!
1. Make an Impact with Mirrors
This can create the perception of more space or light or can add drama with the reflection of the space
2. Add Visual Texture
This is the texture you can’t touch but you can see, like the pattern on the doors, it can be a play on color or light as well
3. Add Actual Texture
Wallpaper, tiles, and other textured materials such as leather on the walls of this Elevator door make the space feel cozy and can deflect from details that are less than ideal (like an ugly elevator door)
4. Add Paneling to a Plain Wall
Paneling adds dimensional accents and dresses up what was once a plain space. In this case, I used paneling to create an extended entry and add spaces for mirror inlay to create an impressive formal entrance into the master suite
5. Add Windows or Clear Doors
If there’s something beautiful to see such as a stunning view but it’s in another room that could be viewed if a clear door is there, let it be clear! Let the view (and the natural light) travel to multiple rooms. If you have a lovely designed room that can be viewed from another, do it- why hide the beauty!
6. Dramatize with Unexpected, Extraordinary Accessories
In this design, it’s hard to see but the door handles are textured stingray charcoal gray with silver- they look and feel different than what’s standard.
7. Oversize it!
Wow, factors can be achieved by increasing scale beyond our eye’s expectations. In this example, the interior doors are extra wide and high creating a wow factor effect.
