WHY SELLERS MUST DO INSPECTIONS?

As a home seller, nothing requires you to inspect before listing.

The property, though it is common now for sellers in the Bay Area to do pre-listing inspections.

Home buyers will likely do their inspections which leaves you open to a common problem:

The buyer’s inspection could turn up a variety of hidden defects or issues that turn the negotiating tables in the buyer’s favor especially if you didn’t do inspections.

Prevent buyers from coming back to renegotiate the sale price by doing pre-listing inspections.

By doing the inspections you can decide if you want to make any repairs but more importantly, you disclose all the defects ahead of time.

That way when buyers submit their offer for a price at the home’s current condition it includes the uncovered defects and leaves little room for unpleasant negotiable surprises.

DO Inspections or be Prepared for Re-Negotiations!
